Five arrested for burglaries at temples, houses and shops in Nirmal
Five persons were arrested for allegedly burgling temples, houses and shops across Nirmal district, police said. The accused were reportedly involved in 25 offences. Police seized three motorcycles, 7.5 grams of gold, 300 grams of silver and five mobile phones.

Nirmal: Five persons were arrested on charges of burgling temples, houses and shops in different parts of the district on Monday. Police seized three motorcycles, 7.5 grams of gold, 300 grams of silver and five mobile phones from the five.
Briefing details of the arrests, SP Dr Janaki Sharmila said that the accused persons, Rajashekhar, Rajeshwar, Srikanth, Ramcharan and Kranthi, were involved in 25 offences reported across the district. The five were nabbed by a special team titled Tiger Task Force with the help of CCTV footage, movements of the offenders and history of previous crimes.
During interrogations, the five confessed to burglaries in Mahadevapuram, Shastrinagar, Sofinagar, Gallapet, Bangalpet and other parts of the town and in Mamada, Thanur, Laxmanachanda and Sarangapur mandals. They admitted to burgling a temple at Gannavaram in Andhra Pradesh.
Bhainsa ASP Sai Kiran, Nirmal DSP Srinivas, Inspectors Krishna, and Sammaiah, Sub-Inspectors Limbadri, Ganesh, SK Gafar, head constables and constables were present.
