Five arrested in connection with advocate’s murder in Hyderabad
The arrested persons were identified as Mohd Arif Ali (38), Mohd Rawoof Ali (40), Mohd Hasan Ali (36), Mohd Asif Ali (37) and Sameena Begum (37) all residents of Tolichowki.
Hyderabad: The Golconda police arrested five persons who were allegedly involved in the murder of a lady advocate reported last week at Tolichowki.
The victim Rayeezunnisa was brutally killed by her four brothers following disputes between them over their ancestral property.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohd Arif Ali (38), Mohd Rawoof Ali (40), Mohd Hasan Ali (36), Mohd Asif Ali (37) and Sameena Begum (37) all residents of Tolichowki.
A R Srinivas, DCP (west) said that there were disputes between the brothers and sisters pertaining to different properties. The four brothers felt that Rayeezunnisa being an advocate was approaching the courts and creating litigation.
“On Thursday, the five suspects as per their plan went to the house of Rayeezunnisa on pretext of discussing the issue and stabbed her to death,” said the official. The police had booked a case following the murder and arrested all the five persons on Saturday night. They were produced before the court and remanded.
