Mancherial: Five persons were arrested for allegedly gambling in a house at Narsingapur village in Jaipur mandal on Tuesday. Mancherial: Five persons were arrested for allegedly gambling in a house at Narsingapur village in Jaipur mandal on Tuesday. Three mobile phones, two motorcycles and Rs 3,250 in cash was seized from their possession. Another accused is absconding.
Jaipur Sub-Inspector Ramakrishna said the accused were Boini Sampath, Vemula Mahesh, Paduga Mondi, Rauthu Santosh, Sotta Ramakanth, all from Narsingapur village. Another accused Boini Tirupathi was still at large.
On being interrogated, the five confessed that they were compulsive gamblers, and said they were into it for quite a long time. They were produced before a court and sent to judicial remand.
