Five held for gambling in Mancherial, Rs 1.63 lakh seized

Mancherial: Five persons were arrested by sleuths of a Task Force team for allegedly gambling in a residence at Chunnambatti locality here on Sunday. Cash of Rs 1.63 lakh, five mobile phones and cards used for gambling were recovered from their possession.
Task Force Inspector AK Mahender said that the accused were Nalmas Satyanarayana, Rapolu Santosh Rao, Akunuri Prasanth, K Ramesh and Bonkuri Ramesh, all belonging to different parts of the town. They were detained at the time of indulging in the offence when the sleuths conducted raids on the home, following a tip.
The five were handed over to Mancherial town police for taking further action.
Ramagundam Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana commended Mahender, the team’s Sub-Inspector Lachanna, staffers Sampath and Baskar for arresting the gamblers.
