Hyderabad: The All India Fixed Internet Service Providers Association (AIFISPA) has assured Hyderabad residents that ISPs are working with authorities to restore the internet services at the earliest.
The disruption of internet services across Hyderabad occurred following the removal of overhead cables by electricity authorities. AIFISPA noted with concern that the ongoing cutting of fibre cables by the electricity department has been indiscriminate and not in adherence with central government guidelines.
After a meeting with TGSPDCL CMD Musharaff Faruqui, the service providers agreed to provide manpower to help TSSPDCL to ensure safe fibre routing across the city. The industry has mobilized ground teams to assess and restore connectivity, with priority given to critical and high-demand areas to work alongside TSSPDCL.
AIFISPA spokesperson Harpreet Singh Kainth, in a press release said “We want to assure our customers that all ISPs are working in close coordination with authorities to ensure safe and swift restoration of services. Ground teams have already been mobilized across the city,”
“We urge Telangana Government & TSSPDCL to immediately stop the indiscriminate removal of cable and support in restoration of internet in the city” he appealed.
