Four held for black marketing Remdesivir in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Police Special Operations Team nabbed four persons on charges of black marketing Remdesivir injections at higher rates, at BN Reddy Nagar in Meerpet on Monday. Three doses of the injection were seized from them.

The arrested persons were N Praveen, a billing manager with Diya Hospital, M Kondal, a pharmacist from Malakpet, K Ramesh, a lab technician and J Praveen, a pharmacist. Police said the suspects were procuring the injection from dealers and selling them at higher rates to customers.

“They procured vials from dealers at about Rs 3,500 saying they needed them for their relatives and sold the same at Rs 35,000 to customers,” policed said.
