Four injured in bee attack in Bhupalpally town

Four persons, including a lineman, were seriously injured after being stung by a swarm of bees in Bambulagadda

Bhupalpally: Four persons, including a lineman, were seriously injured after being stung by a swarm of bees in Bambulagadda area of Bhupalpally town on Sunday.

According to reports, lineman T Anil, who was carrying out repair work on an electric pole, was attacked by the bees. Three other persons, who were standing near the pole, too were attacked. Anil was seriously injured in the attack and was rushed to government hospital for treatment. The other three persons are undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

Three bee hives on a tree in the area were damaged purportedly by birds, causing the bees to go on a stinging spree, locals said.
