Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police caught four persons and seized nearly 50 kgs of marijuana from various places across the police commissionerate on Tuesday. Officials also booked two criminal cases and 24 E-petty cases.

The police stepped up the drive against marijuana trade in Cyberabad and continuous raids are being conducted on a daily basis. Bulk buyers, local retailers and drug transporters are on police radar in order to curb marijuana peddling and its consumption.

On Tuesday alone, four persons were arrested and 50 kgs of marijuana was seized. Till now, a total of 16 drug peddlers were detained under the Preventive Detention Act by the Cyberabad Police since the special drive had begun recently.
