Hyderabad: Sivananda Rehabilitation Home, Kukatpally, has launched a unique free rehabilitation care facility for poor patients from Government hospitals in partnership with noted health care voluntary organisation, Helping Hand Foundation (HHF).
With the rising burden of chronic diseases, three out of four patients with stroke need critical care, almost half of them need ventilator support and another quarter need tracheostomy care. The newly launched 20-bedded Sivananda Physio Rehab center will make rehab care equitable and accessible for not only post-stroke cases but also a bunch of patients with trauma and other chronic disabilities, free of charge.
The new Rehab facility at Kukatpally will have high end Physio equipment, donated by Pradip Chaudhary and will have a separate male and female wards with central oxygen line, paramonitors, and a team of doctors, nurses, physios.
The rehabilitation facility was inaugurated recently in the memory of late Pramila Jagan Mohan Reddy by the trustees and family of Sivananda Rehabilitation Home (SRH) including Vikram Dev Rao, Ranti Dev Rao, Meera Dev Rao, Dr Jairam Pingle, Dr Urmila Pingle, Gautham Pingle on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Rani Kumudini Devi the founder and renowned philanthropist and social worker who set up Sivananda Leprosy center, press release added.
