Fresh inflows reach Himayatsagar, Osmansagar reservoirs after Hyderabad rains
Himayatsagar and Osmansagar reservoirs received fresh inflows after moderate rainfall in their catchment areas. HMWSSB officials are monitoring water levels, with Himayatsagar recording 400 cusecs and Osmansagar 150 cusecs. A decision on opening floodgates is pending.

Hyderabad: Fresh inflows into Himayatsagar and Osmansagar reservoirs began this morning following moderate rainfall in their catchment areas over the past two days, with officials of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) monitoring the inflows at the twin reservoirs.
An inflow of 400 cusecs is currently being recorded at the Himayatsagar reservoir. The water level stands at 1,760.80 feet, with storage of 2.138 TMC. The Full Tank Level (FTL) is 1,763.50 feet, and the total storage capacity is 2.521 TMC, according to a press release.
At the Osmansagar reservoir, an inflow of 150 cusecs is being recorded. The current water level is 1,783.35 feet, with storage of 2.241 TMC. The FTL of the reservoir is 1,790.00 feet and the total storage capacity is 3.518 TMC.
HMWSSB officials have yet to decide to lift the floodgates of twin reservoirs, but they are continuously monitoring water levels, it said.
