Gangadhara sub-registrar suspended for illegal registration of government land in Kothapalli

Gangadhara sub-registrar Noor Afzal khan has been suspended after an inquiry confirmed the illegal registration of 20 guntas of government land in Kothapalli haveli. a new sub-registrar has been appointed.

Karimnagar: The sub-registrar of Gangadhara mandal, Noor Afzal Khan, has been suspended for illegally registering government land in Kothapalli Haveli.

According to officials, 20 guntas of government land in Survey No. 272/14 was registered in the names of eight individuals at the Gangadhara sub-registrar office in December 2024.


Acting on a complaint, district authorities conducted an inquiry and confirmed the illegal registration. Stamps and Registrations Inspector General Ravinder issued suspension orders against Noor Afzal Khan on Monday.

Sadashiva Ramakrishna, a senior assistant in the district sub-registrar office, has been appointed as the new sub-registrar of Gangadhara.

It may be recalled that Revenue Divisional Officer Maheshwar had recently cancelled 476 plots illegally registered in ceiling lands under Survey Nos. 175, 197 and 198 within the Kothapalli revenue limits.
