Karimnagar: TRS candidate Gellu Srinivas Yadav on Tuesday promised to develop Huzurabad Assembly constituency on all fronts if he is given the people’s mandate in the October 30 by-poll.
Srinivas Yadav along with Wardhannapet MLA Aroori Ramesh campaigned in Machanapalli, Peddampalli, and Jaggaiahpalli of Jammikunta mandal on Tuesday.
He started the campaign for the day by performing puja in the ancient Ramalingeshwra swamy temple in Machanapalli. He was given a warm reception by the local people when he went to various villages as part of the campaign.
Srinivas Yadav sought the blessings of the people, stating that he hailed from a poor family. “Being a student union leader, I played a vital role in the Statehood movement and went to jail on several occasions,” he said, and promised that he would be accessible to the public round the clock.
Terming BJP State president Bandi Sanjay’s padayatra as a ‘dummy,’ he said people were grilling the BJP leader for taking out a yatra since everything was in order under the TRS regime. “Sanjay has not been able to reply to the public,” he said, adding that the Congress on the other hand, had no guts to seek votes in Huzurabad. “Except criticising the State government, they (Congress) have done nothing for the welfare of the people either in Assembly or in Parliament,” he said.
While Congress MPs and MLA were fighting with each other, legislators are unhappy with the TPCC leadership, he said, adding that this kind of group politics was possible only in Congress.
TRS leaders P Koushik Reddy, Sridhar Reddy, KDCC bank vice chairman Pingili Rameh. ZPTC Sriram Shyam, MPP Dodde Mamatha and others participated in the campaign.
