GHMC conducts food safety inspections in Secunderabad zone
GHMC officials conducted inspections at hotels and food establishments in the Secunderabad zone and found several hygiene and safety violations. Notices were issued to two hotels in Kawadiguda, and further action will be taken under food safety laws

Hyderabad: Officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Saturday conducted inspections at hotels and food establishments in the Secunderabad zone.
According to a press release, officials inspected Amantaran Hotel and Banquets and Samosa Karkhana premises in the Kawadiguda circle and identified violations such as negligence in sanitation management, improper record maintenance, storage of expired food items, and unauthorised use of food colours.
Notices have been issued to the two hotels concerned, and further action will be initiated in accordance with the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, the GHMC said.
Secunderabad Zonal Commissioner Mangatayaru, Food Inspector Lakshmi Kanth, Food Safety Officers Swati and Sahithi, along with the Kawadiguda Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, and Deputy SWM teams took part in the inspections.
