Gitanjali Devshala: Grooming future leaders
The themes chosen were - self-confidence, how to overcome fear, celebration of overcoming defeating situations and how to deal with stress.
Gitanjali Devshala organised its first-ever Ted Talks Inter-House Competition recently. A team of three students represented their respective houses.
The themes chosen were – self-confidence, how to overcome fear, celebration of overcoming defeating situations and how to deal with stress. The real-life experiences made it easier for everyone to relate and connect with the audience.
The judges were required to allot points to the students based on human connection, presentation and development of the theme. Students put in an admirable effort and delivered impressive speeches on diverse topics.
Ideas were magnificent and one did witness a perfect display of teamwork and oration. Students learned to overcome stage fear, social awkwardness and instilled in them a sense of competitive spirit. It was a tough competition as the judges had a hard time declaring the winner, the school said. The participants were grateful to be given this opportunity.
