Hyderabad: Students of Gitanjali Primary School participated in a discussion on gender equality by talking about how women can be equally triumphant. Some children shared their experience of how they were told that girls can’t play all kinds of sports as they are not physically strong.
They also talked about many women who made it big, in various fields like sports, films, politics and IT companies etc. despite hardships in their life, how to prevent gender inequality and promote equal rights as it is a sign of freedom of expression.
They made PowerPoint presentations, designed badges and wrote creative captions like ‘ Be Free’, ‘ Break Gender rules’, ‘ Strength has no gender’ and wore on their dresses to support gender equality. Through this insightful discussion in their ‘school cinema’ classroom, they exchanged ideas and learnt that men and women are equal in every way.
