Godavari water lifting starts at Nandi pump house under Kaleshwaram project in Karimnagar
Irrigation officials in Karimnagar have commenced lifting Godavari water through the Nandi pump house, part of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. Two motors have been activated to release water into the canal.
Karimnagar: Irrigation officials have started lifting Godavari water through the Nandi pump house constructed as part of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.
Water is being lifted by switching on two motors and released into the canal to be conveyed to the Gayatri pump house at Lakshmipur in Ramadugu mandal.
About 0.30 tmc of water is being lifted by operating two motors, numbers 1 and 7, at the Gayatri pump house, from where it is being diverted to the Sri Ram Sagar Project (SRSP)rejuvenation project through the flood flow canal.
