Hyderabad: UDBHAV inter-school cultural and literary fest organised recently at Delhi Public School, Nadergul got an overwhelming response. The virtual fest saw the participation of 1935 students from 26 schools for cultural and sports activities. Started in 2016, the innovative initiative has been a platform for many outstanding talents. Students from various schools have been participating in this pioneering event every year, the school said.
Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony was Vyshnavi Sainath, a renowned Bharatanatyam exponent. Addressing the gathering she laid emphasis on the amalgamation of art and sports. Education and fine arts go hand in hand, she asserted.
After the inaugural event, all the participants were guided towards their virtual rooms for the concerned competition. Children, teachers and faculty experienced their potential and showed where there is a will there is a way to make the event a grand success, the school said.
The chief guest for the valediction ceremony was Malavika Anand, a talented musician from Hyderabad. She spoke to students on the importance of participating wholeheartedly without being affected by the results. Her words on the mantra of 3Ps- Positivity, Patience and Perseverance inspired all.
The celebration of talents came to an end with the declaration of results. But the real winner was determination which showed that nothing is impossible when the spirits are high. A boat will sway the storm not with the oar but with the grit of the sailor.
