Nalgonda: The State government has announced Rs 10 lakhs ex-gratia to the family of a woman who was raped and murdered by two persons at Mushampally village in Nalgonda district recently.
Energy Minister G Jagdish Reddy visited Mushampally and consoled the family members of the victim on the 10th day ceremony. The State government, he said, has decided to extend Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia to the victim’s family.
Stating that two persons were arrested within 24 hours of the incident besides gathering evidences from the spot to ensure that the accused get stringent punishment, the Minister said the State government was committed to the safety of women as well as their welfare.
Telangana Tourism Corporate Chairman Uppala Srinivas, Nalgonda MLA Kancherla Bhupal Reddy and Nalgonda Municipal Chairman Mandadi Saidi Reddy were also present.
