Task Force police team arrested three persons and seized contraband worth Rs 5 lakh, and a car
Warangal Urban: Task Force police team led by Inspector Ch Srinivas Ji arrested three persons for allegedly purchasing and selling gutkha. Police had seized contraband worth Rs 5 lakh, and a car from them under Mulkanoor police station limits in the district on Sunday.
According to Inspector Srinivas Ji, the Task force team intercepted a Hyundai i-20 car bearing No:TS-03-EW-5143 of one Akinapalli Vamshidhar near Mulkanoor Dairy farm, which comes under the limits of PS Mulkanoor, and arrested him along with Gajula Anil and Bandari Aravind. They also seized 10 Amber bags from their possession.
“On interrogation, Vamshidhar confessed that he had purchased the banned tobacco product from Bidar in Karnataka and was going to Uppal in Kamalapur mandal to sell it. The seized good along with accused persons have been handed over to Mulkanoor police for further action,” Srinivas Ji added.
