Half naked protest by Congress leader against party leadership goes viral

Hyderabad: The Congress leadership might be busy targeting their political rivals, but within the party, leaders are literally stripping themselves to get the attention of the top brass.
Nagarkurnool district Congress party official spokesperson C Srinivas Reddy has expressed serious displeasure over the functioning of local MLA Kuchkulla Rajesh Reddy. On Wednesday, Srinivas Reddy released a video in which he was seen half naked in protest against the behaviour of the MLA. He said the party workers worked hard for the victory of Rajesh Reddy, but now he was ignoring them, which was demoralising the party functionaries.
He alleged that the MLA was taking unilateral decisions and was promoting only a few leaders and ignoring the actual party workers, who had been working hard to strengthen the party in the district. The party had made a lot of promises to people and since the government was not fulfilling it, it has become very difficult for the party functionaries to face the people, he said, adding that urged the party workers to question the leaders about the promises.
“If you don’t question them and maintain silence the problem will escalate. I urge Nagarkurnool Congress leaders to point out the mistakes of the MLA. If you don’t do so it will affect the party’s prospects in the district,” he warned.
Expressing displeasure over the behaviour of the MLA, Srinivas Reddy said if the local MLA does not care for the party workers, how could he survive and work for the party sincerely. The party functionaries should understand that until they get some posts in the party or otherwise there was no use of working continuously for the leader, he said.
“Today I am posting a video without shirt to send a message to the party workers that if the party leaders do not take care of the interest of the functionaries, their political career will end up without any direction,”he said.
