Harish Rao condemns arrest of BRS leader Mallikarjuna Goud, alleges political vendetta

Former Minister T Harish Rao has strongly condemned the arrest of BRS leader A Mallikarjuna Goud in Medak, accusing the Congress government of political vendetta.

Medak: Condemning the arrest of BRS leader A Mallikarjuna Goud by Medak police, former Minister T Harish Rao accused the Congress government of acting vengefully against the senior BRS leader and former municipal chairperson.

In a statement issued after Goud’s arrest on Saturday, Harish Rao accused the Congress of using the police as a weapon to suppress BRS leaders in Medak, as it was unable to face them politically.

He said that despite a High Court stay on Goud’s arrest, the police filed another false case and arrested him from his residence in the early hours of Saturday.

Demanding the immediate release of Mallikarjuna Goud, the former Minister asked the police to change their conduct and act independently. Harish Rao said the BRS would always stand by each and every party worker until they were released and freed from all cases.
