Hyderabad: The City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar has advised the citizens not to fall prey to cyber fraudsters, who are duping people on the pretext of earning huge profits from investments.
Sajjanar noted a sharp spike in investment fraud cases across the city, with fraudsters luring victims through messages like “Double profits on your investment” or “Become a billionaire overnight”, causing many to lose substantial amounts of money to such scams
“It is truly heartbreaking to see the plight of these victims who have lost huge large sums of money to fraudsters. People must realise that relationships and friendships often cease to exist when money is involved, and excessive greed leads to total ruin,” he said.
If you realise you have been cheated, call the number 1930 immediately. The sooner you call, the higher the chances of recovering your money, said the Hyderabad Police Commissioner, adding that the people should be vigilant and not fall prey to fraudsters.
