Hyderabad: BRSLP deputy leader T Harish Rao on Monday condemned the arrest of unemployed youth and leaders of people’s organisations ahead of Congress Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Vikarabad. He recalled that Rahul Gandhi had once visited Ashok Nagar seeking the support of unemployed youth, but the same youth were now being arrested.
“The Congress leaders claimed democratic rule as their seventh guarantee. But today’s arrests remind us of the Emergency era,” he said, adding that deceit and oppression were the true nature of the Congress.
