Medak: Condemning the attack on Narsapur BRS MLA V Sunitha Lakshma Reddy’s residence at Gomaram village, senior BRS leader T Harish Rao said the Congress cadre were resorting to such attacks on BRS leaders, their offices and cadre at the behest of the party leadership and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

Speaking to news reporters after visiting Sunitha Lakshma Reddy and the BRS cadre in the village on Monday, Harish Rao said the Chief Minister’s abusive language on BRS leaders was motivating the Congress cadre to attack the BRS cadre and leaders. Recalling the recent attack on his office in Siddipet, the former Minister said the ruling Congress party was turning Telangana into a lawless State. After examining CCTV footage and videos shot by the BRS cadre on Sunday night, Rao said the Congress cadre intentionally attempted to attack Sunitha Lakshma Reddy’s residence besides throwing crackers into the house to create panic.

He also said the Congress workers also confiscated the phone of a head constable who was on duty and pushed him to the ground. Speaking to IG S Chandrashekhar Reddy and SP D Uday Kumar Reddy, he demanded stern action against those who were involved in the attack. Rao said the Telangana police had earned a lot of credit with best practices during the BRS rule. However, Revanth Reddy had spoiled the entire police system by making them work according to his directions. The police had refused to file any cases against the Congress cadre and leaders even when they attacked the BRS cadre and their offices. Stating that they would even move to national and State Human Rights Commissions seeking justice, he urged DGP Ravi Gupta to act on the culprits by filing appropriate cases.
