Hyderabad: Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited Chairman and Managing Director G Raghuma Reddy on Friday asked the officials to complete all the development works taken up under Palle Pragathi and Pattana Pragathi programme on priority.
Speaking after inspecting the newly-constructed 33/11 KV substation at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore at Narsingi in Cyber City Circle here, he said the consumers of Narsingi, Alkapuri Colony and Puppalaguda would get more reliable and uninterrupted power supply. As part of Telanganaku Haritha Haram programme, 30 saplings were planted on the substation premises. He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao introduced the Haritha Haram programme to ensure a safe environment for future generations.
Nearly two lakh saplings have been planted in the substations and workplaces of TSSPDCL during the programme. Reddy requested all the employees to plant six saplings on behalf of their family and added that if 20,500 employees planted a sapling, it would create massive greenery and would be a gift for the next generations.
Later, Reddy reviewed the activities and development works taken up under the programme in the Rangareddy zone jurisdiction. Under this programme, intermediate poles were installed and replaced bent and rusted poles along with damaged stay wires. Re-stringing of power lines, putting up new lines for street lights, providing meters and boxes for street lights along with other works were taken up. He instructed officers to coordinate with the public representatives and other departments in completing these works.
