Hyderabad: As part of health and wellness week, students of grade 11-K of Delhi Public School, Nacharam, conducted the morning assembly on December 17 on the theme ‘body positivity and get connected to yourself’.
Sanvi Khanna and Harshini were the hosts. Assembly started with the lighting of the lamp and prayer which is an integral part of our culture.
To give an idea of what is the assembly based on, an introductory speech was delivered, proceeding with a skit, which showcased how people get insecure with their body type and people find errors in them in the name of fun. The skit’s message was simple – “we all are beautiful.” To make the skit more creative, a song was presented to the audience with a guitar on the same theme. A poem was also presented on body positivity.
Later with an informative video presentation, which explained the concept of loving ourselves in simple words, the vice-principal addressed the gathering. Assembly was concluded with a vote of thanks by Anjali.
For making the message more effective students also decorated a bulletin board with handmade posters, realistic thoughts, and artistic pictures.
