Lavanya and Devaraj got married in 2020. Like most couples, they were looking forward to embarking on their new phase of life and starting their own family. Therefore, when they got to know that Lavanya was pregnant, they were overjoyed.
The parents-to-be had great dreams about what their future would be like. But fate had other plans.
Lavanya’s health problems started escalating during pregnancy. She was facing high blood pressure issues, owing to which the baby had to be delivered prematurely at 6.5 months.

Lavanya gets heartbroken, each time she sees her daughter.
She hasn’t been able to hold the close to herself because of the impending risk of injury and infection.
“She is so fragile and small. It breaks my heart to see so many needles and tubes attached to her small hand”, sobs the mother, as she looks on at her little daughter.
Their baby has been battling to live from one day to the next, since the moment she came into the world, and the parents grieve on helplessly.

Their child was born with very low birth weight owing to the preterm delivery. Her organs aren’t fully developed and she needs to be protected from all kinds of infections owing to her low immunity.
She needs constant care and support of the Neonatal ICU care to ensure her health and survival.
The parents need around Rs. 9 Lakhs ($ 12412.72) for being able to continue her hospitalisation.

“I am at loss.. I don’t know how I will arrange a sum like that for her treatment. I cannot bear to see my child like this, everyday”, cries the father.
He works as a salesperson for a nominal salary. It isn’t enough to be able to pay for their child’s medical bills. The parents have already exhausted most of their savings for her hospitalised care and are completely out of options now.
Any amount donated will give them hope and help ensure their baby daughter’s survival. Help Lavanya and Devaraj, and give them hope to be able to take their child back home, in good health.
