With heavy rains forecast for the next three days, the Minister wanted the workers and leaders to participate in different relief operations in their respective areas. “I will not be meeting anyone tomorrow and I appeal to party workers not to take it amiss”, Rama Rao said in a statement here on Friday.

Party leaders and workers should take up relief measures and help people in their own way and participate in saplings plantation programme, the Minister said. In view of the rains, the proposed programme of distributing customised scooters to differently-abled persons, will be conducted after the rains subside, the Minister’s office informed.

Already several requests are being made through social media by differently-abled persons for scooters. A detailed list will be prepared and a special programme will be organised for distribution of the scooters, the Minister’s office informed.
