Hope4Spandana extends help to Covid patients in Nalgonda
Hope4Spandana operates free mobile health care centre for basic health screening, distribution of medicine kits to boost immunity against COVID-19

Nalgonda: Hope4Spandana, a voluntary organisation, has been extending medical kits to corona patients in villages of Marriguda mandal in Nalgonda district. It also operates free mobile health care centre for basic health screening, distribution of medicine kits to boost immunity against COVID-19 and corona patients providing health care to mild and moderate patients.
The organisation launched its mobile health care centre recently provided medical kits to 250 Covid patients in the mandal. In addition to distributing masks and sanitisers, it was educating the people of the mandal about vaccination against COVID-19.
Speaking to Telangana Today, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh chief coordinator of Hope4Spandana Raghu Arikapudi said the free mobile health care centre which has a doctor and a nurse camps in each village in the mandal for a day and conducts health check-up of the people.
“We send persons who have Covid-19 symptoms to the local Primary Health Centre for a Rapid Antigen Test. Medical kits, suggested by a doctor of a corporate hospital in Hyderabad, is provided to the mild and moderately affected patients,” he said, adding that the organisation also provides anti-viral drug to moderately affected patients.
Fluorosis Vimukthi Porata Samithi State convenor Kanchukatla Subash, who has been monitoring the programme, said at least 35 people died of Covid in the mandal. “Under this programme, we are also reaching out tribals in remote thandas to extend health services to them,” he added.
