Hordes of devotees descend on Yadadri for Mukkoti festival
Thousands of devotees flocked to the shrine to participate in the worship of the deity on this auspicious occasion, celebrated with a grand display of ceremonial rituals. The day's religious activities commenced at 5:15 AM, featuring the Garuda Vahanam procession and the special Uttara Dwara Darshanam, a unique annual event.
Hyderabad: The Mukkoti festival was celebrated with gaiety and religious fervor at the Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in the early hours of Friday. Thousands of devotees thronged the shrine to join the worship of the deity on the auspicious occasion that was marked by grand display of ceremonial rituals. Religious activities for the day began at 5:15 AM, with the GaruTelangana
procession and the special Uttara Dwara Darshanam, once in a year feature.
Due to the festivities, the temple authorities have canceled the Laksha Pushparchana and Arjita Sevas for the day. Starting today, the temple will host the Adhyayanotsavams till January 15. During these six days, devotees will have the unique opportunity to witness Lord Lakshmi Narasimha in various adornments both in the mornings and evenings. The special rituals have been drawing devotees from the twin cities besides several districts across the two Telugu States.
