Sangareddy: Horticulture Director Sheik Yasmeen Basha called upon farmers to focus on increasing horticulture cultivation by utilising the benefits provided by the State government. Speaking at the Mango Expo-2026 at the Fruit Research Station (FRS) on Sunday, he said farmers could earn better profits through horticulture cultivation.

Farmers from various parts of the State visited the expo to get a glimpse of numerous varieties of mangoes on display. Scientists from the FRS had meaningful interactions with farmers on the best practices in mango cultivation.

District Horticulture Officer P Someshwar Rao observed that farmers could reap rich profits by exporting mangoes to foreign countries if they adopted modern practices. Underlining the importance of planting quality saplings for better yield, he said the FRS was supplying at least two lakh quality saplings every year to farmers in Sangareddy.
