Hyderabad: The police in tri-commissionerates of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda are working in coordination to nab the chain snatcher who struck at five places on Wednesday afternoon.
A man on a Honda Activa scooter wearing a helmet is suspected to have snatched gold chains from five women at Tukaramgate, Marredpally, Petbasheerabad and Medipally.
“We suspect that the vehicle used in the crime is stolen and that the offender was previously involved in cases. We will soon get him. We have clues,” City Police Commissioner CV Anand said.
The police suspect the snatcher might be a member of an Irani gang based in either in Karnataka or Maharashtra.
