Huzurabad assistant labour officer suspended for neglect of duties
Huzurabad Assistant Labour Officer has been suspended by Joint Labour Commissioner Vineetha in Warangal for neglecting duties and misusing powers. Senior officials found her actions in violation of norms, leading to disciplinary action.
Karimnagar: Huzurabad Assistant Labour Officer D Chandana has been suspended for alleged neglect of duties and misuse of powers.
Joint Labour Commissioner, Warangal, Vineetha issued orders to this effect on Sunday after taking a decision based on an inquiry.
Pending applications and failure to clear welfare scheme applications belonging to labourers from the construction and other sectors, besides remaining absent from duties without prior intimation to higher officials, were cited as the reasons for the suspension.
Higher officials had received complaints against Chandana, who was reportedly acting in violation of norms and misusing her powers.
Based on the complaints, the Deputy Labour Commissioner and Assistant Labour Commissioner conducted an investigation and the allegations against Chandana were found to be true. Following this, Joint Commissioner Vineetha decided to suspend her and issued orders on Sunday.
