A 19-year-old college student died after accidentally falling from the fifth floor of an apartment building in Miyapur on Monday evening. She reportedly lost her balance while talking on the phone. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation
Hyderabad: A 19-year-old college student died after accidentally falling from the fifth floor of an apartment building in Miyapur on Monday evening.
According to police, the victim, identified as Pranamya, daughter of Pratap Reddy and Prashanthi of Mayuri Nagar, was pursuing a degree at a local private college. After returning home from college, she reportedly went to the fifth floor of her apartment building while talking on the phone.
Police said she is believed to have been leaning against the parapet wall and accidentally lost her balance, falling from the building. She suffered severe head injuries in the incident.
Family members rushed her to a nearby private hospital, where she later died while undergoing treatment.
Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother, the Miyapur police registered a case and took up the investigation.
