Hyderabad: 40-year-old man gets 20-year jail for raping minor girl

Hyderabad: A local court on Tuesday sentenced a man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment in the sexual assault case of a minor girl reported at Chaitanyapuri in 2023. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on him.

V Sudhakar (40), who worked as an attender at a private school, lured the victim and raped her on the school premises. Based on a complaint, the Chaitanyapuri police booked a case, and he was arrested. The court further ordered a compensation of Rs 8 lakh to the victim.
