Hyderabad: ACB conducts raids at multiple properties linked to suspended ex-police officer Bhujanga Rao
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted simultaneous searches at multiple properties linked to suspended former police officer Bhujanga Rao, a suspect in the phone tapping case, over allegations of disproportionate assets, officials said. Around 15 locations were reportedly searched in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday conducted simultaneous searches at multiple properties linked to suspended former police officer Bhujanga Rao, who is a suspect in the alleged phone tapping case.
According to sources, ACB officials carried out raids at around 15 locations in Hyderabad and other places, including residences belonging to Bhujanga Rao, his relatives and family members.
The searches were reportedly being conducted over allegations that he amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Rao had earlier been suspended by the State government over his alleged role in the phone tapping case, which followed an investigation into alleged surveillance activities by police officials.
It is learnt that ACB officials are examining financial records, property documents and other evidence related to the disproportionate assets allegations.
