Hyderabad: Alprazolam worth crores seized as EAGLE cracks down on hidden drug unit in Bowenpally
The Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) uncovered a drug manufacturing unit in Bowenpally, seizing 7 kg of alprazolam, Rs. 20 lakh in cash, and production equipment. The accused had been operating from a building that once housed a school.
Hyderabad: The Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) seized seven kilograms of alprazolam, Rs. 20 lakh in cash and machinery used in manufacturing alprazolam from a building in Bowenpally on Saturday.
Acting on specific information, a team searched a building in Bowenpally where until a few years ago, a school had functioned, and seized the property.

Three persons, Malela Jaya Prakash Goud (39), a resident of Old Bowenpally, Goute Murali (23) a resident of Hasmathpet, and Pentamol Uday (23) a resident of Bowenpally, were arrested by the police.
The persons who are involved in the illicit business decided not to remove the board of the school to avoid suspicion and had continued their activities.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
