Hyderabad: The Punjagutta police have booked a case against an auto-rickshaw driver who attempted to immolate himself near Pragathi Bhavan on Wednesday.

Security personnel immediately overpowered him and poured a bucket of water on the man before he could light a match. He was then shifted to the Punjagutta police station, where he told the police that he wanted to end his life as his relatives were harassing him over a land dispute.
