Hyderabad: Automobile thief held
According to the police, Haneef, who wanted to make easy money, stole an autorickshaw parked at Akberbagh, New Malakpet, on March 10
Hyderabad: The Task Force (South-East) zone, along with the local police, nabbed an automobile thief and recovered an autorickshaw at Chaderghat on Monday.
The arrested person was identified as Mohd Haneef Qureshi (23), a bike taxi driver from Saidabad.
According to the police, Haneef, who wanted to make easy money, stole an autorickshaw parked at Akberbagh, New Malakpet, on March 10. He was waiting for an opportunity to sell it and use the money for his expenses.
Based on a tip-off, the Task Force officials caught him at Azampura ‘X’ road in Chaderghat during a routine vehicle check. Haneef confessed to stealing automobiles.
The stolen autorickshaw was seized from him. The arrested person, along with the seized vehicle, was handed over to the Chaderghat police for further action.
