Hyderabad: Bhanzu, a pioneering math education platform founded by Hyderabad-based Neelakantha Bhanu, also known as the World’s Fastest Human Calculator, on Saturday announced its inclusion in the Forbes India 30 Under 30 list for 2025 under the education category.

This marks the second time Bhanu has been recognised by Forbes, having previously been featured in the 2022 Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list.

Joining Bhanu in this recognition are Bhanzu’s co-founders Devulapalli Lakshmi Prachotan, Alluru Uday Kiran and Jonnalagadda Sai Krishnakanth, according to a press release.

Founded in 2020, Bhanzu aims to eradicate math phobia, a problem that affects three out of four students globally, leading to anxiety, poor academic performance, and limited career opportunities in STEM fields.

Neelakantha Bhanu said, “Being featured in Forbes India 30 Under 30 again is an incredible honour. At Bhanzu, our mission is simple — make math fun and fearless for students.”

In November 2024, Bhanzu secured $16.5 million in a Series B funding. This investment will support Bhanzu’s ambitious expansion plans, particularly in the US market and further development of its AI-driven curriculum and pedagogy, the press release added.
