Hyderabad: Body of Pole Chandrasekhar, shot dead in Texas, arrives in city
The body of Pole Chandrasekhar, shot dead at a Texas gas station, was brought to Hyderabad on Friday. The State announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia for his family, and the minister assured employment for his brother.

Hyderabad: The body of Pole Chandrasekhar, who was shot dead at a gas station in Texas by a gunman at a fuel station early this month was transported to the city on Friday night.
The family members of Chandrasekhar, reached the RGI Airport in the night and received the body and shifted it to their house at Teacher colony, B N Reddy Nagar.
Chandrasekhar, had gone to the United States to pursue a Masters course from University of Texas in 2023. He had completed his course and was working part time at a gas station when on October 4, he was shot dead by the assailant.
His friends in the United States informed his family members in India about his death the next day. The Texas police had arrested the killer of Chandrasekhar two days later.
Majlis Bachao Tehreek, spokesperson Amjedullah Khan accompanied the family members to the RGI Airport and oversaw the process.
Minister’s Sridhar Babu and Adluri Laxman Kumar, paid their respects to the mortal remains of Pole Chandrasekhar at the family’s residence in B N Reddy Nagar.
On behalf of the State government an ex-gratia of Rs. 5 lakh was announced for the family. The minister assured that employment will be provided to the brother of the victim either in private or through outsourcing channels.
