Hyderabad: The special teams of the Hyderabad police are working on clues on the whereabouts of two robbers who shot and injured a businessman at Koti when he resisted their attempt to take away his cash bag containing Rs 6 lakh.
The police had identified one of the two robbers as an old offender involved in some robbery cases in the State. The police could manage to obtain the number of the mobile phone after analysing the data of calls directed through the nearest mobile phone tower. The teams checked the closed-circuit camera network across the city and could only surmise that they travelled in different auto rickshaws in the city before disappearing on Saturday night.
The police initially thought the two robbers had taken a train from Kachiguda railway station. However, it was later realised that the two men had conned the police and moved around in the city throughout the day. They travelled from Kachiguda towards Pahadishareef in the south of the city and then came back towards Charminar and moved around.
The city police have sought the help of the police in neighbouring States to identify and gather more details about the two robbers.
