Hyderabad police form special teams to probe Koti SBI ATM robbery
Hyderabad police have launched a manhunt after two armed robbers shot a businessman and looted ₹6 lakh at a Koti SBI ATM. Special teams are analysing CCTV footage and coordinating with neighbouring areas to track down the suspects.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, VC Sajjanar, said that the city police have formed special crime teams to investigate the SBI ATM robbery case and trace the two suspects.
Two robbers had fired upon and injured a Kerala-based businessman, Rinshad PV (26), at an ATM centre at Koti on Saturday morning and decamped with a bag containing Rs 6 lakh. The man had arrived in the city in January to purchase clothes at Dewan Devdi to do business in Kerala. He is staying at an apartment in Nampally.
“The Hyderabad city police have taken the incident with utmost seriousness. Ensuring the safety of citizens remains the highest priority, and all available resources are being deployed to bring the perpetrators to justice swiftly,” said Hyderabad CP, VC Sajjanar.
The official said that the special teams are analysing CCTV footage, tracking technical evidence, and coordinating with police of neighbouring jurisdictions to apprehend the absconding suspects.
The Hyderabad CP requested the public to share any information related to suspicious movements by dialling 100. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential, he assured.
The Sultan Bazaar police had registered a case under Sections 109 (Attempt to Murder) and 309 (Robbery) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Section 27 of the Arms Act, 1959, against the two suspects.
According to the sources, the Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Crime Station team and crime teams of local police stations are working to identify and nab the suspects who are suspected members of a professional gang.
The police are coordinating with the Government Railway Police and the Railway Protection Force.
