Hyderabad: More than 21 companies and 2,500 job aspirants participated in the Job Connect programme of the Hyderabad City Police at SVIT Engineering College, Patny Centre, here on Saturday.
The Job Connect, which is being organised by the City Police for the last five years, was not held for the last nine months due to the Covid-19 pandemic. On Saturday, City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar relaunched the activity organised by the North Zone police in the presence of senior officials. HR Managers of 21 companies were also present at the programme, which had more than 2,500 candidates registering for jobs.
Anjani Kumar said through Job Connect, jobs for more than 2,000 candidates were generated every year and urged the youngsters to make use of the opportunity and take part in the event. “This is the first step and we will call the remaining candidates next Saturday,” he said. The City Police will conduct job mela every month in each zone, he added.
DCP (North Zone) Kalmeshwar Shingenavar and others were also present.
