Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner C V Anand made a surprise visit to the Bharosa Center and She Teams facility and appreciated the work being carried out at the HACA Bhavan in Saifabad here on Thursday.

He lauded the efforts by these two excellence centers headed by in-charge Sirisha Raghavendra DCP working under A R Srinivas, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes & SIT), Hyderabad.

Addressing the media persons, the Commissioner said that these Centers were doing a commendable job for the last seven years, particularly Bharosa Center, which is acting as a one-stop center for victims of heinous crimes against women such as rape, child sexual abuse and domestic violence.

“The Bharosa Center’s services under one roof is helping the victim under trauma avoid running from pillar to post. The trust factor and confidentiality in handling the matter has been the hallmark of service rendered by the Center,” Anand said.

Also, the Hyderabad She Teams which work in incognito mode have been successful in ensuring the safety and security of women in Hyderabad by bringing many delinquents to the book and necessary corrective measures either by counselling as well booking e-petty cases and FIRs, he said.

All the necessary inputs and the next course of action to take the Centers forward with respect to funds allocation for required logistics and other necessary infrastructure have been discussed.

Along with A R Srinivas, Gajarao Bhupal, Joint CP, CCS, was also present.
