Hyderabad CP reviews arrangements for Govt programs ahead of Milad-un-Nabi, Ganesh immersion

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner, CV Anand on Sunday held a meeting with the police officials in regard to arrangements for government programs at Public Gardens and Parade Grounds for Milad-un-Nabi and Ganesh final immersions scheduled later this week.

During the meeting, Anand emphasized factors that need to be considered while preparing bandobast plans including actionable intelligence gathering and surveillance on unsocial elements. The Blue Colts and patrol teams were instructed to increase patrolling in the lanes, by-lanes, and mixed-community localities.


The Commissioner stressed the need for a robust traffic management plan keeping in view the situation at critical junctions and cross over points such as Basheerbagh, MJ Market and Shahalibanda.

“Vehicles approaching critical junctions from different roads should be managed proportionally,” he said. The DCPs were asked to encourage the organizers to start the journey for immersion point early and provide necessary logistic support to them.

Instructions were also issued on accommodation of force, briefing of external forces, communication system, anti-sabotage checks, social media monitoring, deployment of SHE Teams, drones and camera-mounted vehicles, and strategic deployment of additional platoons.

He said the Telangana Command and Control Centre at Banjara Hills and the Command and Control Centre at Old Police Commissioner’s office, Basheerbagh will be operational from Monday. Officials of different government departments will be present in the two facilities to monitor and resolve issues.

Vikram Singh Mann, Additional Commissioner (law and order), P Vishwa Prasad, Additional Commissioner (Traffic) and other officials were present.
