HYDERABAD: The IS Sadan police have registered a case against a UK-based doctor and his sister, a resident of Hyderabad, for allegedly conspiring to murder a man by hiring contract killers.
According to the police, Mohammed Hameed Khan (39), a resident of Santoshnagar, lodged a complaint stating that his brother-in-law Syed Sadiqullah Hussaini had allegedly approached Farhan, a rowdy-sheeter of Balapur police station, and offered him Rs 25 lakh to kill Hameed. He asked Farhan to kill Hameed and then collect Rs 25 lakh from his sister Asma.
Police said Farhan later informed Hameed about the alleged conspiracy and the involvement of Sadiqullah Hussaini and his sister Asma, following which the realtor approached the police.
Based on the complaint, the IS Sadan police registered a case against Sadiqullah Hussaini and Asma and have initiated an investigation into the matter.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that there had been an ongoing property dispute between Saleha and her husband, Sadiqullah Hussaini, after the latter married another woman and went to the United Kingdom. Hameed had reportedly intervened in the matter and extended support to his sister, which is suspected to have led to the alleged conspiracy.
Further investigation is underway.
