Hyderabad: A fire broke out in a furniture godown near the Nampally railway station on Saturday afternoon. No casualties were reported.
Officials suspect a short circuit led to the fire, police station.
According to the police, the godown is located on the ground floor of a multistoried building near a residential area and the locals noticed fire and thick smoke emanating from it and alerted the fire department. The smoke engulfed the entire area.
The fire was doused in a firefighting operation which continued up to nearly two hour. The total worth of the damaged property is yet to be estimated, officials said.
