Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with the Afzalgunj police busted a drug racket and arrested a drug peddler and four customers at Gowliguda on Friday. Police seized 300 ml of hashish oil and other material from them.
The arrested persons were P. Ashutosh (26), an alleged drug peddler from Gowliguda and P.Krishna (28) from Osmangunj, Asad Hyder Qureshi (38) from Rethibowli, P.Suresh (28), an education consultant from Peerzadiguda and Syed Abdul Muketh Shuttari (24) from Tolichowki, all of them customers. Lucky, a drug supplier from Miyapur, is absconding.
According to the police, Ashutosh was procuring hashish oil from Lucky at lower rates and selling it to his friends. Following a tip-off, the Narcotics Wing with the help of local police nabbed the suspects and seized the oil.
The arrested persons were handed over to the Afzalgunj police for further action.
