Hyderabad: Flames engulf building, seven including one month old infant escape miraculously in Afzalgunj
The fire broke out at the first floor of a three storied building located at Afzalgunj and soon spread to the upper two floors of the building. Two families were trapped in the building and came into the balcony as the fire was rapidly spreading.
Hyderabad: Seven persons including a one month old infant had a miraculous escape from a building that caught fire at Afzalgunj on Thursday morning.
The fire broke out at the first floor of a three storied building located at Afzalgunj and soon spread to the upper two floors of the building. Two families were trapped in the building and came into the balcony as the fire was rapidly spreading.
On information fire tenders including Bronto skylift rushed to the spot. The families were later rescued by the fire personnel using the lift and ladders.
Property was gutted down in the incident in the residential building. The officials suspect the fire might have started due to a short circuit in a flat on the first floor.
Four fire tenders from different fire tenders reached the spot and doused the fire. The Afzalgunj police assisted the fire officials in the operation.
